As part of TASOTA’s commitment to advocate for her member travel agents and partners’ interests and keep them informed on the developments in the airline/tourism industry, the Secretariat attended an Industry Stakeholders briefing consultation meeting last Monday 23rd January 2023 to develop TTB’s Corporate Strategic Plan.
The session was hosted by the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) in Dar es Salaam – several similar sessions will be held in other select regions across the country as well. The aim of the meeting was to understand Stakeholders’ views related to tourism and hospitality in general, and get collective input that will be used towards developing the new corporate strategic plan to cover the next five years from 2022/23 – 2026/27.
Tourism stakeholders who attended the Dar es Salaam session included representatives from TASOTA (travel agents society), Tanzania Immigration Department, Tanzania Aviation Authority (TAA-JNIA), Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA), Tanzania Association of Wildlife Authority (TAWA), Air Tanzania (ATCL), Qatar Airways, Marine Parks, National College of Tourism (NCT), Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC), CRDB Bank, Precision air, Serena hotels, and ITV & TBC media journalists.
